What the form asks for

The form asks for a name, a phone number, and the address or town of the floor. Email and timing are optional. A reason for the inquiry can be picked from the list on the form, which includes the five kinds of work described on the all services page plus an "Other / not sure" option, or left blank.

Details that help

If the floor needs work but the kind of work is unclear, the hardwood floor refinishing page explains the process from sanding to the last coat. These details are useful to include with a request:

• the rooms involved and their approximate size;
• whether the floor is to be stained or changed in color;
• whether there are stairs;
• any visible damage, such as deep scratches, dents or worn areas;
• any carpet to be removed or furniture to be moved.

Where the requests come from

The form is for homes in the towns listed under service areas: Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha, Robins, Fairfax and Mount Vernon in Linn County, and Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Solon and Tiffin in Johnson County.
